FGASA is the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa and represents individual Tourist Guides, Nature, Culture and Adventure guides and Trackers.
The association sets qualifications and maintains exceptional standards for field guides in the tourism industry. All Shamwari rangers are FGASA accredited and are highly skilled professional nature guides.
The FGASA Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 7th August 2019 to give recognition to field guides that are excelling in the industry.
Shamwari Private Game Reserve has a large and dedicated rangers’ team that provide our guests with phenomenal safari experiences daily.
The team is headed by Andrew Kearney, who is passionate about continuously advancing his team to better heights.

Jonathan van Zyl received the Advanced Rifle Handling Award, achieving the highest score in the province for the year!
Shamwari Private Game Reserve Rangers department won the Frontier award for excellence in nature guiding in the Eastern Cape.
