The Year in Review 💚

2025 was a remarkable year here at Shamwari, from Long Lee Manor receiving a Michelin Key and global wins at the World Luxury Travel Awards, to hosting the inaugural Nedbank Gravel Burn finale. We launched our new air shuttle, making arrivals seamless, including a very special first flight for Mia the meerkat. We were proud to formalise the Shamwari Foundation to further our commitment to wildlife, community and the environment.

From vulture releases and leopard relocations to rescuing orphaned rhino calves like young Chomp, every moment reaffirmed why conservation remains at our core. We also honoured the retirement of Dr. Johan Joubert, whose legacy will always be part of Shamwari. Thank you to our team, partners and guests for being part of the journey.
