The Explorer Camp: An African Glamping Experience
The Explorer Camp is one of the most adventurous ways of experiencing Shamwari’s natural wonders. Booking your stay here allows guests to go on professionally guided walks of the surrounding land, so you can get up close and personal with nature.
During these walks, our experienced guides share their extensive knowledge. Learn more about the history and culture of the region, the diverse flora, abundant insect and birdlife, as well as the many animals, large and small, you will encounter.
To fully experience this back-to-nature adventure, requires guests to book a minimum 2-night trail, operational Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Fridays and Saturdays with an optional 3rd night (Sundays) on request. The camp operates from October to May in South Africa’s summer months.

This camp is discreetly fenced in for safety reasons but retains a true explorer ambience. The tents are placed nearby without encroaching on the other tents’ privacy. Each tent is simplistically yet comfortably equipped with all the modern amenities required to add extra ambience and comfort. All tents include the following:

- En-suite bathroom with shower

Sindile Luxury Tented Camp
Sindile, Shamwari’s newly built luxury tented camp, is the perfect escape for honeymooners. This tented camp is a secluded luxury getaway, situated deep within the African bushveld.
