Domestic Animal Welfare & Outreach

DID YOU KNOW: The Shamwari Foundation provides free vaccinations, skin treatments, and sterilisation campaigns for dogs and cats in neighbouring communities.

Any adoring pet owner will know what it costs to keep an animal healthy and happy. In our neighbouring communities, Paterson and Alicedale, fellow loving pet owners lack access to essential veterinary care to protect their animals.

Challenges Faced by Community Domestic Animals:

  • Lack of access to veterinary care
  • Infectious diseases such as rabies
  • Malnutrition and untreated injuries
  • Over-population
  • Skin diseases and infection

The Shamwari Foundation Alleviates these challenges by:

  • Vaccination and sterilization campaigns
  • Treatment of infections, injuries and malnutrition
  • Education on primary veterinary care

However, limited resources and accessibility remain
significant challenges.

Project Mobile Vet Clinic R1.25 Million Investment

Shamwari Foundation aims to bring veterinary care to communities in need with a MOBILE VETERINARY CLINIC.

Without a brick-and-mortar clinic nearby, local community pet owners struggle to find medical attention for their animals.
To bridge this gap, we are working toward a fully equipped mobile veterinary clinic that will allow us to bring them comprehensive veterinary care. With your support, we can make this initiative a reality and protect the bond between communities and their pets.

Current Contribution Goal: R1,500,000

TO EXPAND OUR IMPACT WE NEED:

  • R1,250,000 = Mobile Veterinary Clinic
  • R150,000 = Veterinary Equipment
  • R50,000 = Ongoing Medical Supplies
  • R50,000 = Drugs and Disinfectants
