DID YOU KNOW: Enclosures are specifically designed to prevent injuries or escapes while animals are treated and rehabilitated.

 

Founded in 2018, The Shamwari Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (WRC) is an established and registered rehabilitation facility. The centre focuses on the veterinary care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals with the sole purpose of reintroducing the animals back into the wild.

 

Threats Faced by African Wildlife:

  • Infrastructure Collisions and Electrocution
  • Deforestation and Reduced Natural Habitat

Wildlife as Nature Intended

The intent and mission of WRC is to release all animals back into the wild. To ensure the successful release and survival of the animals, special care is taken to protect them from habituation to humans during the rehabilitation process.

Current Contribution Goal: R1,200,000

TO EXPAND OUR IMPACT WE NEED:

  • R750,000 = 1 Large Raptor Enclosure
  • R300,000 = 2 Multipurpose Enclosures
  • R175,000 = 5 Antelope Enclosures
