Rainwater Tank Donations

DID YOU KNOW: In 2025, many communities across the Eastern Cape are without access to water for weeks and months at a time.

Governmental water supply to the neighbouring communities of Paterson and Alicedale is erratic and unreliable. This leads to health risks and severe discomfort for our sta and residents residing in these communities.

Threats Faced by Communities Without Water:

  • Limited or No Drinking Water
  • Severe Health Hazards
  • Economic and Essential Service Decline
  • Civil Unrest and Humanitarian Crisis

The Shamwari Foundation Helps Combat these Threats by:

  • Supply of Household Rainwater Tanks
  • Drinking Water: 5,000 Litre Tank per Household
  • Domestic Water: 10,000 Litre Tank per Household
  • Installation and Fittings to Households and Schools
  • Water Management Education and Guidelines
  • Training on Disinfection for Drinking Water Creation

Current Contribution Goal: R1,000,000

TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY WATER SUPPLY WE NEED:

  • R15,000 = 10,000 Litre Rainwater Tank With Fittings (Per Unit)
  • R7,500 = 5,000 Litre Rainwater Tank With Fittings (Per Unit)
  • R1,000 = Training and Education (Per Household)
