Basic Skills Development

DID YOU KNOW: Apprenticeships are known globally as vital economic drivers, providing a sustainable, skilled future workforce.

Investing in people is one of the most effective ways of restoring an ailing economy and by focusing on local industries and their labour needs, it stimulates community investment and purpose.

With vast agricultural areas and wildlife reserves, there are a variety of local employment opportunities. However, local matriculants and young adults find it very difficult to find employment. A large percentage do not have the financial support for further education and training. Financial assistance for basic skills development and apprenticeships is needed.

Professional Skills with Significant Potential:

  • Driver’s Licences
  • Computer and IT Training
  • Piloting Drones
  • Security Services
  • Fence Installation and Maintenance
  • Professional Housekeeping
  • Ecotourism and Wildlife Conservation Assistance

The Shamwari Foundation Helps Combat these Threats by:

  • Supply of Household Rainwater Tanks
  • Drinking Water: 5,000 Litre Tank per Household
  • Domestic Water: 10,000 Litre Tank per Household
  • Installation and Fittings to Households and Schools
  • Water Management Education and Guidelines
  • Training on Disinfection for Drinking Water Creation

Current Contribution Goal: R1,000,000

TO EXPAND OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT WE NEED:

  • R200,000 = Drone Pilot Training (Advanced)
  • R15,000 = Conservation Security Training (Per Student)
  • R10,000 = Driving School + Code Ec Drivers Licence (Per Student, Heavy Vehicles With Trailer)
