Rescued Lionesses Welcomed at New African Home

Two rescued lionesses are settling into their new home at the Born Free Foundation’s Big Cat Rescue and Education Centre at Shamwari Game Reserve, South Africa, following an epic 6,000 mile journey across two continents earlier this week.

Update on the Shamwari Explorer

It was an incredibly hot February with temperatures often soaring above 40C, leading us to celebrate the evenings with the greatest safari tradition – Sundowners!!!. As you can see with my images – it is a great event and celebration at Explorer Camp to watch the African sun set with drinks in hand and feisty cheer on the top deck.
