A Walking Trails Adventure
During South Africa’s summer season, Shamwari Game Reserve expands its offerings even further by opening the Explorer Camp.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience takes guests on a guided walking safari of the surrounding land, allowing you to get up close and personal with nature. Each tent is luxuriously furnished for comfort in the wilderness.
We firmly believe that travel needs to be simplified by going back to basics. This package not only reflects the core ideals of our safaris but aims to deliver an eye-opening encounter with nature.
Our wilderness bush camp itinerary comprises a 2-night trail, departing each Friday, with an optional 3rd night on request. The camp operates from October to April.
To awaken your natural instinct and get in touch with nature, look no further than Shamwari Game Reserve for a summer adventure. Contact us today to book your spot and experience our Explorer Camp.
The camp site is discreetly fenced for safety reasons but retains true explorer ambiance. The tents are placed in close proximity without encroaching on the other tents privacy.
Meals
Culinary feasts are presented around the camp fire with exquisite silverware. And best of all, guests wake up to tea/coffee, served in front of their tents.
There is also a classic portable bar with crystal glassware to enjoy the traditional gin and tonic on the viewing deck.
Our wilderness facilities are simply luxurious and each tent has been uniquely decorated and equipped with all the amenities required, to add extra ambience and comfort. Furthermore, in each tent, guests are provided with basic necessities such as:
- Comfortable beds and bedding
- LED light for night time use
- En-suite bathroom facilities
- Outdoor hand wash basin
- Insect repellent
While all safety precautions have been followed when setting up these facilities, guests are still treated to panoramic views of the landscape.
Check in is at 13h00 / Check out is by 11h00.
